Services for Area Residents: Reference & Research

A professional librarian is available for research assistance all hours the library is open. Check at the desk labeled "AskaLibrarian" on the 2nd floor of the Library.

Access to library databases is through your school account. Use the same credentials as you do to log into your student email.

You can get help without coming to the Library. Our Ask a Librarian service provides:

• Email reference services. You can expect an answer within 24 hours
• Chat services
• Texting (SMS) services at 361-231-3138
• Call us at 361-570-4166

We also have Research Guides to help. 

Most library databases are available to all patrons from the computers in the library. Off campus access is only available to current faculty, staff and students of VC and UHV.
